Had a succesful day yesterday on the phone to the Danish and Swedish consulates.
Turns out I don't need to obtain a Danish Visa, as my Australian passport enables me to be in the country for 90 days without a Visa. (I was looking into this as I am flying into Copenhagen and taking a train across to Malmo)

I do not need to apply for a Swedish visa, but instead need to apply for a Swedish Residence Permit, which is their equivalent.

Unfortunately, I just found out that I was unsuccesful in my application for a scholarship from Melbourne Uni, valued at $2500. All students who apply to go on exchange are automatically considered, but I missed out. So now I have to try and find $2500 from somewhere. I'll be taking donations into the 'Send Tash to Sweden fund'.

I have decided for these few months before I depart for Sweden, I will share a little more than simply my Sweden preparations, as it could get quite boring and mundane otherwise.

So what's first?

Some inspiration for my soon to be art folio, a uni assignment.

Im looking into mixing hand-drawn illustration and photographs to complete my final piece.

This blog over the next 7 months will follow my journey to Sweden and all that the adventure entails.

At the moment we are still in the planning phase. I recently recieved my final acceptance letter from Malmo University. Which means its all systems go.

I feel like I have a list as long as my arm of things to organise! Earlier this week I booked my flights. I will be flying: Melbourne - Singapore - London - Copenhagen then taking a connecting train across to Malmo.

Still have to organise:
- Swedish Visa
- Danish Visa
- Swedish Residence Permit
