gingerboy

Last night, I was very blessed to be sent out to dinner with a couple of girlfriends with our meal paid for. We went to gingerboy in the city.
It was a lovely night out, and the food was delicious!

folio

The last few days I've been working away on my art folio for uni. This is the last piece of assessment I need to finish before I head over to Sweden. I am trying to get majority of it finished now, so that I can focus on packing next week.
The theme for the folio is 'my special place' and we were allowed to choose any place we liked. I chose books, and getting caught up and lost in the storyline. It is not necessarily my favourite place to be, but I figured I could depict it easy enough.
In one of my earlier blog posts I posted some photos from Charlie and Lola books written by Lauren Child. This was the inspiration for how the piece is structured. Using photography and mixed media all together in one piece.

will you miss me?

Well I had a great day at church and raced home for a family dinner to celebrate my going away. I brought out my macbook to show everyone what they money they had given me for my birthday had gone towards and we ended up spending a little bit of time on photobooth...

Nick, Dad and I finished off the evening with a lovely game of scrabble. Which I lost by quite a considerable amount.

What do you like to do on a quiet evening?

Well it was a great night at my friend's 21st birthday, so many people made the effort to dress up and Santa Claus even made an appearance. Unfortunately I managed to lose my favourite ring that was given to me for my 21st. Hopefully someone has picked it up by mistake and it will find its way back to me.

Today I'm off for a great day at church. I'm starting to get a little sentimental as this is my second last service before I go away.

Wishing you all a lovely Sunday x

Oh! Plus a little shout out to my buddy Alan, who turned the grand old age of 22 yesterday.

This morning I sat at the bench eating porridge and scouring design blogs...

went to the market with Mum & Dad...

and did a little bit of baking.

It was a lovely way to spend one of my last Saturdays in Melbourne. Tonight I'm off to a friend's 21st which is Christmas in July themed...wish me luck!
