Two days ago, while I was enjoying a nice long shower, (Sweden isn't on water restrictions!) my towels fell on the floor. This usually wouldn't be an issue, except I have no shower recess. So whatever is on the floor while I shower gets wet. Therefore when I finished my shower I had two soaking wet towels. Lucky for me, I have a spare towel!
So, I left the two soaking towels in a pile on the floor for the last two days while I figured out what to do with them...
I could hang them over my shower rail, but they are really, really wet and I have been sick and the effort to get them over the shower rail would have been enormous, and they would have taken FOREVER to dry.
I tried to book the laundry when I got home today so that I could just put them in the dryer, but there was no available time slots this afternoon.
So the solution? My hydrolic wall radiator! Genius! It's so super hot I wake up having fever dreams in the middle of the night, it will get the job done in a jiffy!
But wait....I have two towels. Don't worry! I also have a heated towel rail! Drying them both at once, and all from the comfort of my own room!
Super Duper!

teaching placements
I started full time teaching placement yesterday. It's going really well and I am taking over control of the class from tomorrow onwards. It's not in my guidelines to do so, but the preschool structure here is a bit different to in Australia, so we are fudging the rules a little bit.
Here are some photos of what we got up to today in Reception Class1:

road tripping

This weekend I had a long weekend off uni and decided I didn't want to spend the whole weekend in Malmö. So I suggested to Franck and Polo that we invite Kim along, and the 4 of us spend the day together on Monday. When I suggested this to Kim, she thought it was a good idea and we all agreed to rent and car and go for a small day trip.
We booked a Volkswagon Golf, but when we went to pick up the car, we had been given a Audi A3 Sportswagon. The boys were very excited!
We decided to follow the coast up to Helsinborg and then work our way north-west to visit some lakes. We ended up doing quite a bit of driving. But it was nice to get away fro Malmö for a day. Its also a bit of a novelty to go for a drive in a car!
We took a turn off the road and found a small dirt road that led into the forest, and so we all got out of the car and went exploring in the forest for a little while.
We also found some beautiful picturesque lakes while driving, and pulled over to take photos and take in the sights.
At one stage we saw a moose run across the road and into the forest on the other side. It was amazing!

getting cold
Well, in the last week I decided that I needed to get myself a raincoat, because I was constantly getting rained on when I was riding my bike to and from uni and teaching placements. So yesterday when I went with the boys to buy some food for dinner, we all got sidetracked in the sportswear shop. The three of us are booked into a trip to RUSSIA in November and Franckie wanted to get a ski jacket, as the average temperature for that time of year is -0.1 to -1.6.
So with this information I decided that I also needed a warmer jacket, which was suitable for the snow, as it is likely to snow here in Malmö also.
So we started the hunt. At first I thought that I did not have the funds to buy a ski jacket, as they were all quite expensive. But there are perks to being the teeny tiny size that I am. Kids sizes!
So we moved on to the kids department, and found some that were even too big for me!
I ended up buying a boys ski jacket, as I prefered the colour.
I also managed to find a raincoat that was quite cheap, and even came with super stylish rain pants!
Franckie found a ski jacket and also some gloves and a hat, and Polo bought a new jumper and a hat. Which means we are almost all ready for freezing cold Russia.
